The Free Gaza boat the "Spirit of Humanity" departed Cyprus at 7:30am on Monday, 29 July. Twenty-one human rights and solidarity workers representing eleven different countries were aboard. The passengers include Nobel laureate Mairead Maguire and former U.S. congresswoman Cynthia McKinney. The ship also carries three tons of medical aid, children's toys, and rehabilitation and reconstruction kits for twenty family homes.

Over 2,400 homes were destroyed in Gaza during the Israeli massacre in December/January, 490 of them by F-16 airstrikes, as well as 30 mosques, 29 educational institutions, 29 medical centers, 10 charitable organizations, and 5 cement factories. Each kit carries a small amount of supplies for a single family, representing sectors of civil society currently being blockaded by Israel: Agriculture, Building & Reconstruction, Education, Electricity, Health, and Water & Sanitation. Although over 4 billion dollars in aid was promised to Gaza in the aftermath of the Israeli onslaught, little humanitarian aid and no reconstruction supplies have been allowed in.
Israel has seizes Human Rights Boat in International Waters. Human rights activists in custody - "Spirit of Humanity" was carrying humanitarian aid to Gaza - Nobel Prize Winner among seized activists. Please release the human rights

Goverments going bankrupt, still these great proclamations that "prosperity is here! We're having a recovery right now!" "Aha, it's back again, everything's fine & everybody's happy & employment is up!"--It sounds like the same old kind of story!
The peace prophets are all rosy! Does that remind you of anything? All you have to do is go back & read the Bible. What was going on in the last days of Israel when Israel was about on its last legs? There was only one Prophet of doom & all the others were prophesying "Peace, peace & everything's going to be better & don't worry!"--All the Devil's false peace prophets! ( Jer.8:11,15 )

For his fellow man
by Ted Rudow III,MA
Sunday Jun 28th, 2009 12:46 PM
Most of these problems are caused by Man's own injustices and foolishness over the years, sometimes centuries. When the population of a country mishandles its water, soil, trees and natural resources, erosion and desolation often result. But while the Western World spends hundreds of millions of dollars on storing or destroying these surpluses, and on lavish exercise and dieting programs to lose weight, and subsidises and pays farmers not to grow crops, the poor nations of the World starve!

Even when the rich of the World are touched to help the needy, the roads into famine-stricken areas are often either disintegrating or virtually non-existent, trucks and heavy vehicles are a rarity and break down continually, and few planes are available to fly in relief. And this is not to speak of the greedy and corrupt officials and middlemen siphoning off a large part of this.
In short, the countries which need help the most have an infrastructure which is so undeveloped and officials so corrupt that it makes it almost impossible to help them. Man's selfishness, that's all it is--man being selfish and not looking out for his fellow man. God help us!

Tough times

Tough economic times
by Ted Rudow III,MA ( Tedr77@aol,com )
Saturday Jun 20th, 2009
Tough economic times have brought about unrest and problems all over the world. There are all sorts of situations and all sorts of causes, but one of the main causes is inequality: The poor see the rich being helped and bailed out while they receive very little in comparison.
So the poor demonstrate and try to get at least a little more help, and if they can't, they often help themselves through theft, robbery, looting and crime. It's building up slowly now, but if conditions worsen, it could grow quickly and result in more widespread discontent and disorder, or even the overthrow of some governments.
And the U.S., which is one of the most unequal societies in the world when it comes to the distribution of wealth, is worried about its own citizens! The rich are worried about the poor and the militant, and right wing and left wing are increasingly alienated from each other. So the U.S. government is drawing up its contingency plans, bringing home some troops that were stationed abroad, and even going so far as to build camps that could be used in case of "natural disasters," or to house "an emergency influx of immigrants," or to support "new programs"—possible detention camps, though you'll probably never hear the government call them that!
Tough times can also lead to tough government actions and tyranny. It's a time of upheaval, flux and change for the world, just as the 1930s were, the Great Depression period before World War II. First came the Roaring '20s, then came the Depression '30s, and then came the years of war of the '40s. History doesn't always repeat itself, of course, but it can sometimes.

Rewarding lies

Editor,

The Obama administration’s sweeping new proposal to restrict executive pay is likely to be a humbling exercise for seven of the nation’s largest companies, which have received billions of dollars in federal assistance to survive the economic crisis.

As for me, Social Security was cut two times in the last few months. The people that know how to trick and rob others, steal, cheat and to get more than their share. Their lies, propaganda and advertising have caused the poor that they were right and persuaded them to voluntarily give up some of the few things they had to make them even poorer and the rich even richer, so the rich could have more and more and the poor less and less.

Thorny?

In his address, Netanyahu reiterated his readiness to meet Arab leaders and urged Palestinians to resume peace talks. But on the thorny issue of Palestinian refugees, Netanyahu repeated long-standing Israeli policy by saying they could not return to areas in Israel from which they were forced to flee during the 1948 war that led to Israel's creation.

Netanyahu's speech was not well-received by Palestinians. "Oh, it doesn't matter that there are two million Palestinians living in cardboard and tin-can shacks in refugee camps virtually off of garbage," many of whom had fine homes and farms and lands in Palestine. It doesn't matter, obviously, or to the United States. It doesn't matter that two million poor Palestinians are kicked out of their own homes and their own country and have nothing and nowhere to go and nowhere to live and nothing to eat, as long as the [Israelis] get what they want!.
To most of the World and the Palestinians it looks like Israel is the real criminal and the robber, because the Jews have stolen a whole country and thrown out two million of its owners. The United States and Britain helped the Jews steal a whole country and thousands of Palestinian homes and made millions of Palestinian people homeless and hungry, but of course the [Israelis] couldn't be criminals! They're not criminals.--That's legitimate for whole countries to do things like that. It's perfectly all right for whole countries to carry on wars and murder millions of people, that's all right.

Dear Editor: Lebanon’s Western-backed March 14 coalition has defeated a stiff challenge by the Hezbollah-led opposition in national elections to retain its parliamentary majority. The March 14 bloc’s win will reassure its supporters in Washington and Saudi Arabia, while the opposition defeat is a blow for Iran and Syria, which support Hezbollah and were hoping to counter U.S. influence in Lebanon.
When they elected a pro-Communist president, Eisenhower sent in the Marines. And Lebanon's had nothing but grief ever since. And the same thing happened in Vietnam. When it looked like they were about to have a pro-Communist government there, the U.S. stepped in to make sure they didn't.Because of America's double standard in regard to Israel, whenever an American president or his representative speaks on any international topic, the words are discounted. Recession leads to strategic shift

Thursday, June 11, 2009

President, other administrators discuss thinking behind cuts

The economic downturn has had a significant impact on Stanford’s budget, but with the dust settling on some of the largest changes, the cuts have become far clearer. As reported, Stanford’s budget for 2009-2010 projects a 30 percent loss in value for the University endowment. Administrators have also emphasized that due to this drop in value, and the necessity of covering funding shortfalls that must be maintained even before they might be cut, levels of spending from the endowment must rapidly reduce. Already, the University plans to move for its 2010-2011 budget to pay out 15 percent less per endowment share. This dramatic loss in endowment value, and consequent necessity to reduce endowment spending to sustainable levels, has forced many specific cuts in University units and schools to conform to reduced funding.Cutting the budget has also, however, initiated a strategic response from high-level University administrators, which is playing out in a variable manner. In an interview with The Daily, President John Hennessy reiterated that given the loss, Stanford would have to adjust itself to a new paradigm, and not focus upon returning to the same conditions that existed prior to the recession.“If you said that to continue operations we have to replenish the whole endowment before we do anything else, that could take a decade or two,” Hennessy said.He added that he hoped the University would be able to transition rapidly into a growth mindset.“We want to focus on new things, rather than replenishing the endowment coffers,” Hennessy said.Hennessy also emphasized the value of “doing this in a way that forces people to contemplate the scale and scope of the cut........

Bitter end
by Ted Rudow III,MA ( Tedr77 [at] aol.com )
Monday Jun 8th, 2009
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Sunday he would strive for "maximum understanding" with Washington on peace issues but gave no sign he intends to bow to its demand to halt settlement expansion. Netanyahu has no intention of risking the collapse of his coalition by ceasing all settlement activity in the Occupied West Bank.

American would be just as quick to go to war, and maybe even quicker, for Israel, or even threaten the world to save Israel, as they would for America, of which Israel is such an integral part! AIPAC, or the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, describes itself as the most important organization affecting the U.S. relationship with Israel. With a budget of $65 million, and membership now standing at over 100,000, it is no wonder that congressional staffers consider it one of the most powerful and effective lobbies on Capitol Hill.
This is what much of the world does not understand: that even now, Israel is an integral part of America. Not only Israel's money, brains, politics and arms are American, but so are her clothes, cars, homes, ads, industries, agriculture, trade, attitudes and sometimes arrogant belligerency are also all-American--even much of her language, movies, etc., for which you cannot blame her, since Israel is American, and her only hope of survival is America. So America and Israel will stick together to the bitter end, as they have proven in every Arab-Israeli war so far!

Somebody's lying
The Obama administration plans to take the next step in its efforts to resuscitate the American auto industry, sending General Motors, the storied manufacturer, into bankruptcy protection this morning. The court filing in New York - will mark the end of financial independence for the 100-year-old industrial leviathan that once conflated its interests with the country's and that employed more than 1 million people, counting jobs at the company and at its suppliers. The purpose of the bankruptcy is to restructure the automaker, as the government has been attempting do with Chrysler, having GM emerge from the process smaller, with fewer brands, less debt - but also more viable.
We owe $11,326,098,943,773. The deficit will hit $1,000,000,000,000 trillion in the 2009 budget year. It's a drop in the bucket compared to what we owe and how much more we owing every year. The politicians are all preaching everything's hunky-dory, everything is recovering, everything is good, then you know they've got to be lying. Somebody's lying, because it couldn't be that good with all these huge corporations and governments folding and going bankrupt!

President Obama delivered a highly anticipated speech in Cairo, Egypt, today. In his speech, Obama defended his decision to escalate the occupation of Afghanistan and refused to apologize for the invasion of Iraq that has led to the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people.
Obama refused to call for a full Israeli withdrawal from the Occupied Territories, but he said settlement building should stop.
Construction should be halted in all settlements without exception not a house and not hut, not in isolated settlements and not in settlements blocks, neither natural growth nor artificial growth.
Anti-Arab fascism to become prevalent in Israeli society should end. The end of the occupation is needed in order to protest basic democratic rights, also within Israel's own borders. The beginning of peace between the state of Israel and the state of Palestine to arise, between Israel and the entire Arab world.

Thursday as Israel flatly rejected a US and Palestinian demand that it stop settlement construction in the Occupied West Bank. An end to settlements was a top priority for Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas as he sat down with Obama Thursday. The Gaza Strip, which the Jews grabbed, and in this same 1967 War the Jews also grabbed all of Jerusalem. This whole part occupied by the Jews here is called the West Bank.--The West Bank of the Jordan River. This was Jordanian land, it was a part of Jordan, until the 1967 War, at which time the Israelis grabbed all of this, the Gaza Strip, Jerusalem and the entire West Bank of the Jordan River. So now the Israelis have all of Jerusalem and these other areas, and they're populating it as fast as they can, putting settlements in there as fast as they can so they can say, this part was given by the U.N. to the Jews, and this part is part of the land which was supposed to have been given by the U.N. to the Palestinians.

I mean that shows you how people panic if they lose faith in a government. The Crash has been going on for years, but eventually it hits bottom and goes right through the bottom and the bottom falls out and finito!--And this time I am convinced it's going to be finito to the present economic, monetary and capitalistic system. So it could happen any day!
